Hey Everyone!
   
So I went to Texas last Thursday to visit Kate!  We had such a good time!!
Thursday I got to the Des Moines airport at 11am and I was supposed to be flying Midwest Airlines, but I went to their counter and they said, "You're on a direct American flight so you'll get in 4 hours earlier." I was sO* excited. Well then that flight was delayed, then cancelled, then the next flight was delayed, so I ended up getting to Dallas like an hour and a half after I would have if I had connected in Milwaukee like I was supposed to. Well at least I got to Texas. So that was a relief.
Friday I went to Matt's basketball game (he's my new best friend...hahaha) then Kate and I met Brittni and Pallyn at Chilis for dinner. Then we just hung out and drove around. It was way fun. I love those girls!! Then we met up with Maddison and hung out in the Tom Thumb parking lot. Oh we're just too cool. They all slept over and we fell asleep watching Now & Then.. Cute movie.
Saturday Kate and I went to Target and Starbucks. We met Jon at Starbucks. He's a cool kid. Then at like 2 am Sunday morning Shawn came over. We asked Mr. Shirley if we could go out to talk and he was practically asleep. It was way funny. So we talked to Shawn for like 2 hours and then we went to bed. Kate had to work Sunday morning and so I went to church with her family and then we ate at her restuarant. It was fun.
Monday we went to Dealy Plaza to go to the 6th Floor Museum. It was actually way cool. Then we went home and saw Must Love Dogs which was so cute.
Tuesday we went to the mall. YES! I needed logo-less polos for school so we walked by this sports store and they had some in the window. So after walking around aimlessly for like 5 minutes we asked this way cute guy. And he took us there. They were ugly, but we kept looking around. We saw a Navy hat and thought we would get Shawn a Navy shirt so we asked the cute guy again, and as he was showing us we ran into one of Kate's friends who works there. After the cute guy left we got the 411 on him (his name is Jeff, he's going to be a senior...etc) We told her friend (Greg?) to tell Jeff we thought he was hot. Wow we're cool. So then we kept shopping and we went back towards the end of our shopping time. We found Greg and Jeff had gived him his number to give to us. YES! Then we talked to Greg and Jeff and some other people for like 45 minutes. They were making money the whole time. Ha. So we invited them to Starbucks later that night.
Then we had dinner with Mr and Mrs Shirley, Matt and his girlfriend, Victoria. It was fun. Then we went to Starbucks and met Shawn. I love that kid. So we hung out for a while, then Brittni came and then the people from the mall came. We had a really good time hanging out. Kate and I got Jeff's screen name. Gosh we're such dorks. But anyway, it was lots of fun. Hopefully I'll get to see Shawn at Army // Navy. We'll find out soon. Good luck, Shawn!!
So that was my trip, I came home on Wednesday. I wasn't ready, but who is ever ready to leave a vacation when they're having the time of their life. I love Kate's whole family. Awww I miss you guys already!
Suzanne comes out next weekend. I CAN'T WAIT! We're going to my family reunion in Cedar Falls. Should be a party..
